Day 1 (Arrive Yangon)
Arrive in Yangon by AM flight (based on arrival before 10.00 AM ). Transfer to hotel to freshen up. Explore downtown Yangon with a walking tour through the historic quarter. The lively streets are filled with book sellers, street markets, fortune tellers and the crumbling facades of the colonial era. Visit Scott Market, the oldest in town, where you can buy everything from antiques, handicrafts and precious gems. The head to Shwedagon Pagoda for sunset when the stupa glows bright gold in the evening light.

Day 2 (Fly to Bagan – Half day Temple Tour)
Flight to Nyaung U (0700 / 0820 or similar)
There is a mystical like quality to Bagan with more than 2000 temples and stupas stretched out across the plains. See the main highlights of Bagan’s ancient wonders on a half day tour. Tip toe your way through Ananda with its white tiers and gold stupa rising high above the tree lines, see Shwezigon dazzling in gold and the delicate painted ceilings of Wetkyi-in-Gubyaukgyi, and no visit would be complete without Dhammayangyi Pahto, considered to be the best of all.

Day 3 (Bagan)
Grab you bike and saddle up for a ride around the ancient stupas of Bagan, stopping off at the pretty white tiered Ananda temple and Dhammayangyi Pahto, considered to be the best of all. The flat landscape is ideal for cycling and the tracks weave in and around villages and hundreds of brick stupas. Watch out for farmers herding their cows! Immerse yourself in the culture starting with the very simple act of sharing food. Lunch is particularly important as it is the last meal of the day for monks. Join the line of devotees offering food and then share in the daily meal.

Day 4 (Bagan – Heho – Inle Lake Half day Tour)
Flight to Heho (1020 / 1055 or similar)
Fly to Heho and drive through the Shan Hills to the port town of Nyaung Shwe – the gateway to Inle Lake. Get your first glimpses of daily life on the water, travelling by long tail boat to nearby villages and pagodas. Pass by floating gardens and see the fisherman using one leg to row their boats. Visit stilted villages where traditional skills such as blacksmithing, cigar rolling and silk weaving are still done by hand and see the Jumping Cat Monastery. While the cats no longer jump there is an impressive display of Buddha images.

Day 5 (Inle Lake)
Discover the flavors behind Myanmar cuisine with a hands-on cooking class. Meet your chef who will teach you about the different vegetables and spices then guide you in preparing classic dishes such as tea leaf salad and tasty Burmese curries. Travel to a village in the middle of the lake by sampan and grab a kayak. Get a close up view of life on the water as you paddle your kayak through a myriad of canals that lead you to pagodas that seem to float on water and houses raised high up on stilts. See fisherman at work hauling in their catch and farmers tending to their floating gardens

Day 6 – 10 (Heho – Ngapali Beach)
Flight to Thandwe (1130 / 1240 or similar)
Drive to Heho airport. Fly to Ngapali, shared transfer arranged by hotel. relax by the beach.

Day 10 (Depart for Yangon)
Flight to Yangon (1045 / 1135 or similar)
Shared transfer to airport. Fly to Yangon, in transit at the airport for your international flight.
