Positioned amid a cluster of similar houses, El Clavel’s traditional-style building belies its more contemporary interiors. This is an unpretentious family villa, fitted with WiFi and air conditioning, and designed for comfortable informality. Its sitting room, with French doors to the garden, is divided by an archway into reading area and TV snug, each with big soft sofas; its dining room bounces light from chrome, glass and pale gold furnishings; its crisp white kitchen is highlighted with candy-stripe blinds; and equally cheerful fabrics adorn the villa’s amply sized bedrooms, one at ground level and three on the upper floor.
