Off the kitchen there is a pergola providing a lovely area for outside dining and extensive terrace with comfortable seating for absorbing the view of the terraced gardens and valley. Steps lead down through the garden to the attractive gated pool area. Nearby Siena is within very easy reach for shopping, sightseeing and an evening 'aperitivo' followed by a meal in a favourite trattoria and a 'gelato' - always a particular pleasure in Italy. The house is also close to the Chianti area and within reach of other hill towns of southern Tuscany and northern Umbria and the owners are delighted to offer their personal recommendations for wine tasting, sightseeing, walking, bicycle hire and massage.
